This notice describes information used by the Sandpiper Lodging at the Beach website and its newsletter form.
Hosting, security and aggregate statistics
Netlify hosts this website and processes request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs and timestamps to deliver and protect the service. We also use Netlify Web Analytics for aggregate page counts, visitor estimates, traffic sources, broad locations and missing-page reports. It uses hosting logs rather than browser analytics cookies or an added tracking script. Visitor estimates use IP addresses; cookie-free does not mean no request data is processed. We do not combine these hosting statistics with newsletter contacts or guest records.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept analytics. It measures visits, main pages viewed, basic traffic/device information, booking and contact clicks, navigation, room and photo interactions, review and social links, scroll milestones, and newsletter form activity and successful new signups. Clicking a booking or contact link does not tell us whether a reservation, call or email was completed. We do not send form names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details or accessibility preferences as Analytics event fields. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.
Use Cookie preferences in the main website’s footer to accept or reject optional Analytics, or change an earlier choice. The choice is remembered in a first-party cookie for up to 180 days on that browser and hostname. When Analytics is accepted, Google may use its own first-party analytics cookies. We respect Global Privacy Control by not starting Google Analytics. Rejecting optional Analytics does not prevent newsletter signup or remove aggregate hosting statistics.
Newsletter signup
The form sends your name and email address to Mailchimp to subscribe you to Sandpiper email updates. Phone is optional and does not sign you up for texts. New signups subscribe immediately with an on-page confirmation; no confirmation-link step is required. Existing opt-out choices remain respected. Signup details are sent in an encrypted request, not in the page URL. Unsubscribe using the link in an email, or contact us for help. Contact records and unsubscribe preferences are retained as needed to manage subscriptions, honor opt-outs and meet applicable obligations.
Reservations and outside links
Book Now opens BookingCenter, which handles reservations and payments separately. We have not connected its guest or reservation API to this website. BookingCenter and linked services have their own privacy information. This website does not use advertising pixels, fingerprinting, heatmaps or session recordings.
Saved display settings
Optional accessibility display settings are stored in this browser’s local storage. Read aloud uses an available on-device voice; our site does not add an external speech service. These preferences are not sent as Analytics events.
Service providers and your choices
Hosting statistics are processed by Netlify; newsletter contacts by Mailchimp; and optional website measurements by Google after acceptance. These providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy information describes their processing and international safeguards: Netlify, Intuit/Mailchimp, and Google.
